The Buildings of Central Michigan University

Kesseler Hall

208 W Broomfield St
Mount Pleasant, MI 48858

New Towers

The hall was named after Roger Kesseler, retired vice president and controller of The Dow Chemical Co., who was appointed to the CMU board in 1991. A 1958 graduate of CMU, he received an honorary doctorate from CMU in 1989 and the university's Distinguished Service Award in 1996. He also serves as a member of the CMU accounting department advisory committee and the CMU Development Board of Directors. The Roger L. and Phyllis J. Kesseler Finance and Accounting Resource Center is housed in the university's Applied Business Studies Complex.

The new air conditioned buildings consist of four person, single bedroom, two bathroom suites.

Each bedroom contains moveable furniture, including a bed that may be lofted, a wardrobe, a dresser, a student desk and chair. Cable and telephone hook-up is also available in each bedroom.

The shared living room contains a small sink. This area contains no university furniture, so students may make that area their collective, personalized space. There is a 30% additional room charge for all students residing in the three new Towers buildings.

All rooms are smoke-free

The Towers also boast classroom space, a fitness center, convenience store, study lounges, multimedia rooms, laundry rooms and a Student Success Center. Accessible accommodations are available.
